A solera is a system of barrels used in rum production that allows for different aged rums to be blended consistently. For this project Spacial were engaged by Creation Live to design, engineer and produce a functional bar-top sized solera unit to illustrate the system to customers within an experiential context.
The project involved a great deal of research and development to perfect the system as well as supplying material and finish samples for the clients, and ultimately six identical units were produced to be sent to different locations around the world.
