CASE STUDY BRIEF:
To deliver 650 feet of bars in the style of elaborate buildings, with a film-set quality appearance, and a rapid install and de-rig time.
"Barclaycard BST is a complex installation in the heart of London’s royal park, and Spacial rise to the challenge year on year."
OUR SOLUTION:
Design and build detailed buildings off-site using shipping containers as the structure. This approach offers an integrated solution that simplifies site management operations during the construction phase, as well as reducing site installation time and the impact on the park.
The container units are re-used each year, reducing waste and maximising budgets in a multi-year context. These containers can also be easily modified and updated each year to accommodate evolving client requirements.
A complex logistics operation ensures fifty-five shipping containers are delivered to Hyde Park at allocated times and lifted directly into position using two cranes over a three-day period.
Originally a five-year contract, over time it has evolved into a seven-year run. The most recent update to the set has been the addition of a new modular bar system based on shipping containers which can be quickly and easily re-skinned for use at other events.
